A new user group concept has been introduced which makes it easier to set and maintain access rights of users with same access rights. The access rights are set on a user group level rather than individua user level.
User groups can also be used to improve the sharing function in the Cross Table tool as there are options to let the user share favorite tables to others within their own user group only and not to all users in the project.
Having set identical access rights across the group, the user within can be confident the others will see the same data. In further articles we describe the two different types of User groups that are available (Project level and System level user groups), as well as how to create and edit User groups including a way to apply Favorite sharing in the Cross Table tool within the user groups.
