When the Respondent level Event email includes all alerted respondents in a single email you can now specify the sort order of the respondents so most relevant respondents are shown first. The sorting can be based on multiple levels so, as an example, respondents with the lowest recommendation score in the most important customer class are shown at the top of the email to help the user act on the most relevant cases first.

The new sort order setting is shown in the Event setup page when the option “One email listing all respondents” is selected as shown in the image below. The respondents are sorted by the respondent id by default, to apply a custom sort order select the “Specify custom sorting” option as shown in the second image below.

Here we see default settings when all respondents are listed in the same email, the respondents are sorted by the respondent id.

                                    

Here we see an example of custom sorting, in this case, the respondents are sorted by the recommendation score and customer class.

                                    

As shown in the image above the sorting can be based on multiple variables, additional sorting levels are added via the “Add level” button.


The sorting can be based on the following variable types: single choice, open-ended (strings), numeric, and date variables.

The sorting cannot be based on multi-choice and index variables. Grouped answers in single choice variables are not considered either, the sorting is based on the original answers only.


Note, when the sorting is based on single choice categorical questions the sort order id of each answer is used and not the answer labels.
