A Dynamic Image module provides an easy way to map images to variables or hierarchical filter. Dynamic images may serve as an illustration to data changes appearing on the slide.
Uploading files for Dynamic images
The setup consists of two main steps: In the Admimistration pages the images are uploaded and mapping rules defined so images can be automatically connected to variables. In StoryTeller the Dynamic image object is inserted as a new object from the ribbon and the content is defined by editing the object settings. Let’s explore the setup from the Administration screen first, in order to setup the Dynamic image in report.
Step by step
The upload of images and the mapping of variables are done in a screen named Dynamic image module which is found under Reporting Objects Tab in the administration section.
1. Access the Dynamic images module under Reporting objects.
2. Press browse to look for a .zip file containing images you want to upload and use.
3. Press upload to upload the selected .zip file.
4. When the batch (the zipped folder) has been uploaded it is shown in a list of all uploaded batches.
Note: Each image must have a response date; the response date is used for filtering out correct images in tracking projects and the default response date is the date of image batch upload. The response date is set on a batch level, which means that all files in one batch must have the same response date. If the batch response date is out of response date range used in the files you uploaded, the image will not appear. The date can be changed by using Edit batch options.
